Is the gossip I hear true? Prices of fast food could potentially be raised due to the increase of minimum wage? My opinion on this situation personally, is that the increase of minimum wage, would only skyrocket the price of fast food, and as in skyrocket, I mean a normal cheese burger at McDonald's could reach up to $2.50-$3.00, instead of being a dollar on the dollar menu.
Is a high cholesterol cheese burger really worth paying over two dollars for? The questions that people have been asking for days now because of the word about an increase of minimum wage are tremendous. Employees that have been working for over 10 years, or even five years at a business or franchise cant help but think that they have been working for years now, wanting a raise, deserving a raise, and someone who just gets hired starts off right away with the increase of minimum wage... It's unfair.
The normal age of a person that works at a franchise are between the ages of 17-55. Does the government want these employees to be flipping burgers for a higher amount of money, meanwhile the new comers start flipping burgers with a increase of money? Take this into consideration, why waste those something years that you have been working, just to now get a increase of minimum wage? So many questions remain with the situation of an increase of minimum wage. Although you have been busting your butt at a franchise, do you really want minimum wage to increase?
